About Me

I began my education and training at a young age, but it has been documented at 15 years old, giving me over 30 years of experience. I volunteered as a Vet Assistant, trained in obedience, show, protection, assistance and tricks. I researched/have experience with wolves, wolfdogs, dogs, cats, horses, and was introduced to a variety of small and large animals. I started my registered pet sitting/dog training business in 2003 in Salem Oregon, and moved my business to Ontario Oregon. Pictured below is me at age 15, showing my experience of old school (choke collar), and learning new school (reward system), showing how slowly I was learning on my own (old style schooling with choke chains were the only method of dog training offered in my community in 1978), different methods of training. Today I use buckle collars for training my dogs and motivational methods for teaching service training and basic obedience. Imagine, going from having to wait for a puppy to be six months old to start training due to old style dog training, to being able to start training at home with a six week old puppy without even using a collar!!!!!!!!!!! Yes times have changed, and for the better. (big smile)

My daughter, Sarah, assists me with pet sitting, animal care and dog training. She has experience with dogs, cats and horses. She has observed/assisted with dog training classes, wolfdog rescues, cat rescues, wolfdogs, wolves, birthing of puppies and assists with volunteer trainings. She understands dog/cat body language and animal behavior. She has a true love for animals and they in turn respond very positively with her.
