Canine Good Citizen Testing
Test 1: Accepting a friendly stranger
Test 2: Sitting politely for petting
Test 3: Appearance and grooming
Test 4: Out for a walk (walking on loose lead)
Test 5: Walking through a crowd
Test 6: Sit and down on command and staying in place
Test 7: Coming when called
Test 8: Reaction to another dog
Test 9: Reaction to distraction
Test 10: Supervised seperation

All tests must be performed on leash. Dogs should wear well-fitting buckle or slip collars made of leather or fabric. I supply a 20 foot lead for the test. The owner supplies the brush or comb.

Dog equipment
How to read canine body language
Meet /greet dogs by petting, touch ears and feet of puppy/dog
Watch me
Loose leash walking

Week Two:
Problem behavior/training
Advantages of spay/neuter
Socialization
Review of week one
Introduce brush or comb for grooming
Sit/Stay
Down
Come

Week Three:
Problem behavior/training
Crate training or having special area
Nutrition
Review of week one and two
add time to sit/stay
walk by distraction dog
Down/Stay

Week Four:
Problem behavior/training
Vaccine information
Importance of excercise and environmental enrichment
Review or week one, two and three, increase time of sit/stay and down/stay
Weaving through people
Distractions
Supervised Seperation

Week Five:
Problem behavior/training
Signs of health vs illness
Practice weeks one, two, three and four, add distance to come

Week Six:
Problem behavior/training
Continue practice with added time, distance and distractions (10 feet for come, 20 feet for stay)

Week Seven:
Problem behavior/training
Continue practice

Week Eight:
CGC test
